Video cover for Richard Wurmbrand

Richard Wurmbrand followed the Lord, even when it put him in harm’s way.

Two DVDs: The Richard Wurmbrand Story and Richard & Sabina Wurmbrand - The Underground Pastor and His Wife

Under pressure from the communist government, Christian pastors in Romania publicly rejected Christ and condemned the church. But not Pastor Richard Wurmbrand–he stood up for Christ, declaring that communism and Christianity were incompatible. Richard refused to renounce Jesus and continued preaching the Gospel until he was arrested. He spent a total of 14 years in prison, and his wife Sabina endured three harsh years in a prison labor camp. While in prison, Richard was tortured and abused by his captors. But he continued to compose sermons, memorize them, and preach them from his cell. Using Morse code, Richard communicated God’s love to the other prisoners, tapping messages on the walls between their cells. He never stopped praying and preaching. Watch the incredible story of a man who dedicated his life to sharing the Gospel, even with the people who sought to harm him.
